WEST ALLIS, WI- The Sheboygan A’s suffered through two disastrous innings in their doubleheader against the West Allis Nationals Thursday night but were able to survive one of them.

The A’s held a 4-0 lead going into the fourth inning of the suspended game from June 8, but it wasn’t enough as the Nationals scored three runs in the fourth, two in the fifth and six in the disastrous seventh to take an 11-6 win over the A’s.

The A’s struck early in game two. The team was able to score two runs in the second and three runs in the third inning to give themselves a 5-0 lead over the Nationals. The A’s were able to maintain this lead and hold off a 4-run West Allis uprising in the fifth to escape with 5-4 victory.

Joshua Olson who was pitching well to that point suddenly hit the wall and was replaced by first-year pitcher Brett Moyer who got the final two outs to save the 5-4 win. Jim Jungbauer took the loss for the Nationals.

At the plate, Zac Cain, Josh Moses and Taylor Grimm lead the team, each collecting two hits for the A’s.
