Posted: July 29, 2015

Spurred on Tuesday night by an energetic Acuity 5-Year Club
group and “Fan Appreciation Night” crowd, the Sheboygan As posted their fifth
straight win with four of them being mercy rule wins.

Last
night’s score was 10-0 over a struggling Manitowoc team.

The win
kept the A’s in the running for a first round bye in next week’s playoffs.

Thanks to
some timely hitting, the A’s scored in four consecutive innings on their way to
the win. Silencing the Manitowoc bats was Weston Nelson, he went a strong seven
complete innings as he only gave up four hits, allowing zero runs and tallied
10 strikeouts in the win. In relief of Nelson, AJ Alessi pitched a scoreless 8th,
not allowing a hit.

Blake Fleischman
ended the night with a triple and two RBI. Wyatt Olson and Harry Steldt each
added two hits and two RBI, while Carter Amundsen and Taylor Grimm came in with
RBI hits.

The A’s
will end the regular season on the road this week., playing at Green Bay
Wednesday night and Appleton Thursday night; both games are Northeastern
Wisconsin League match-ups.
