SHEBOYGAN – In another important game with playoff
implications, the Sheboygan A’s knocked off the Appleton Legends in Northeastern
Wisconsin League play, winning 4-1.

Both teams struggled to get their offenses going early on in
the contest. Zero runs were scored through the first five innings. The sixth
inning saw a burst of offense. The Legends plated a run off a passed ball and
the A’s answered with four of their own in the bottom half. Taylor Grimm and
Carter Amundsen recorded RBI hits to give the A’s a 4-1 lead after six
complete.

Brandon Winfield had a stellar pitching performance, in the
complete game victory he allowed one run on nine hits and struck out five.

Adam Ryan added two hits and a walk.

The A’s improve to 28-15 overall and 12-5 in the Northeastern
Wisconsin League.

The next time Sheboygan will be in action is in the Wisconsin
State League Consolation Playoffs. They will face West Bend 7 UP on Saturday night, first
pitch scheduled for 7:30 PM. With the A’s having home-field advantage, the game
will be held at Wildwood Baseball Park.
