A’s Begin Crucial Week This Week
Posted: July 6, 2015
The Sheboygan A’s are calling upon the Military for
assistance in their championship run.
Monday is Military
Appreciation Night at Wildwood Baseball Park. All veterans and current members of the military will be admitted free
and will be given a voucher for a free beverage.
The club is hoping
for some reinforcement from their military friends as tonight’s game launches
as critical a week as the team has faced in its long history. If the club’s championship hopes are to
materialize wins are essential, especially tonight and tomorrow.
Tonight they host
Menasha, tomorrow West Allis. Both games start at 7:30 p.m.
Menasha and the
A’s are in a virtual tie for first in the Northeastern Wisconsin League, but
the MACs are a game ahead in the loss column.
West Allis is the
first place team in the Northern Division of the Wisconsin State League. The A’s are a game behind, but three back in
the loss column.
Following that are
midweek games against Kenosha and Pewaukee and then all five of the original
Wisconsin State League teams who are still competing will be in town for the third annual Wisconsin State League Challenge.
The A’s enter tonight 16-10 for the season, 10-6 overall in the WSL, but 9-6 in the WSL playoff standings, and 7-3 in the NEW.
