King’s 6-run Inning Beat’s A’s

Posted: July 3, 2014

Once again the Sheboygan A’s saved one of their poorer
performances for their Annual Sponsors
and Friends night.

Aided
by physical and mental errors, the Kenosha Kings scored all of the night’s runs
in the third inning and took a 6-0 win over the A’s.

While
the A’s, 19-9 overall, are still holding forth in second place in the Wisconsin
State League , the loss dropped them to
third in the Langsdorf League.

Bunton struck
out 15 in his seven innings and held the A’s to just four hits. Two of those four hits combined with a walk to
mount the only A’s challenge of the game – bases loaded, nobody out – but three
strikeouts followed and the third inning threat expired.

Brandon
Winfield took the tough loss. He retired
the side, facing only three hitters in every inning but the fateful third when
the A’s had their meltdown.

The A’s
are now idle until Monday, July 7, when they will host Green Bay in Military
Appreciation Night. Veterans and active Military will be admitted free when
they show their military ID card at the box office.
