Kramsky Leads Split at Oshkosh

Max Kramsky threw a 4-hit shutout to lead the Sheboygan A’s to a 4-0 victory in game two to salvage a doubleheader split against the Giants in Oshkosh Tuesday night.
Oshkosh won the opener, 5-2.
Kramsky struck out five, walked a pair and allowed only three Giant runners to reach second base.
The A’s took the lead in the fourth, getting a pair of runs on a Charlie Reschke double and an RBI single by Adam Wilson. Wilson drove in his second run of the game with another hit in the sixth following a second Reschke double. The fourth run came when Colin Willis singled, went to third when an errant pickoff throw sailed past the first baseman, and scored on a wild pitch. Reschke, Wilson and Willis finished with two hits to lead the offense.
The A’s were stymied by Joe Pavlovich in game one, managing a mere four hits.
The A’s best chance to do damage came in the first, when after one out, a couple walks, a base hit by Reschke and an infield out scored one run. Another walk reloaded the bases, but a strikeout ended the thread. Willis drove in the second run in the fourth with a sacrifice fly after Taylor Schwarz singled, stole second and went to third on an error.
Mitch Gardner, who found himself in trouble in just about every inning, took the loss.
The A’s are now 18-14 overall, 7-8 in the Northeastern Wisconsin League and 7-9 in the Wisconsin State League.
They travel to Kenosha tonight and then return home Thursday for the big Bug Light Night game against Manitowoc. Larry’s Distributing is giving away a major prize every inning and 16-oz. Bud Lights are going for $2.50.
