A’s Earn Non-League Victory Over Howards Grove

Matt Schilter had three hits and three RBI and the Sheboygan A’s earned a 9-5 non-conference victory over Howards Grove in an adult amateur baseball game at Wildwood Park on Friday night.
Sheboygan built an 8-1 lead through four innings, then survived a mini-rally by the Riverdogs, who got a bases-clearing double by Andy Taft.
Tyler Jones got the win for the A’s, and Jake Ristow pitched three-plus innings of strong relief for the save.
David Novak had three hits, three runs and an RBI for the winners and Phil Kramsky had two hits.
For Howards, Charlie Reschke had two doubles and a single and Taft had a couple of hits.
Sheboygan improved to 33-22 on the season.
The Sheboygan A's are members of the Wisconsin State League and Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League. The A's have helped develop more than 43 players that have reached professional baseball, including 2002 World Series Champion Jarrod Washburn (Anaheim Angels).
