vs. Menasha Macs

Macs Force Decisive Game Three Thursday

Posted: August 6, 2025

Menasha’s offense erupted for 11 runs over the final 4.5 innings of play Thursday night to even the NEWBL Championship series 1-1 and force a winner-take-all Game Three at Wildwood Park in Sheboygan on Thursday.

Sheboygan built an early 2-0 lead when John Hadley hit a solo home run in the top of the second, and Hudson Wagner scored on a bases-loaded groundout in the third.

The Macs quickly answered with a four-run third of their own to jump on top. Trading blows like they did Tuesday night, Sheboygan responded with two in their half of the fourth to tie the game back up. Wagner hit a triple to center field that scored Chase Hanselman and Jimmy Juergensen.

Each team scored one in their half of the fifth inning. Then, Menasha took control.

The Macs scored four in the sixth and five more in the seventh to put the A’s away. They added one more insurance run in the eighth for good measure.

The best-of-three series is now tied 1–1. The NEWBL title will be decided Thursday night at Wildwood Park in Sheboygan. First pitch is scheduled for 7:30 PM.
