Streak Snapped

After winning their last six games, Sheboygan’s winning streak was terminated by Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League’s Menasha Macs with a final score of 5-2 Wednesday night at Wildwood Park.
Menasha scored two runs before Sheboygan tallied their first run in the fifth inning when Ross Krist hit a RBI single to right field, scoring TD Walker.
Heading into the bottom of the seventh inning the A’s were down one run when catcher Shane Ryan tied the game on a homer hit to left field.
After being down the entire game, Sheboygan was looking to make a comeback until Menasha answered back to Ryan’s home run in the next inning. Peyton Jack hit a two-run dinger on the first pitch that gave the Macs their lead back and the A’s were unable to score another run. This followed a dropped ball at first base that would have left the bases clear.
Menasha’s Eric Zuberbier, who threw a variety of pitches with amazing accuracy, took advantage of a big strike zone, and scattered seven hits. TD Walker, Jimmy Juergensen, and Ryan all collected multiple hits.
Bryce Lovisa took the loss for the Sheboygan A’s, he pitched eight innings, allowed four runs on ten hits, and struck out seven before Jacob Bonin came in to relieve him.
On Thursday, the A’s will be heading to West Bend for a double header against the Kewaskum A’s. They won’t be back home until July 27th to take on Kewaskum once again.
