SHEBOYGAN – The Chicago Clout and the Sheboygan A’s split a
doubleheader Saturday, the A’s taking game one 5-2 and Chicago salvaged the
split with a 10-0 victory in the nightcap.

Game One

After Ryan Grion
tagged him for a first inning home run, Brandon Winfield settled in to strike out nine in a 4-hit, 1-walk complete game victory.

Taylor Grimm got an RBI single in the first inning and his double
and Dan Barwick‘s triple keyed a 4-run third inning.

Barwick reached base four times with two walks, a single and
a triple. Harry Steld had a pair of singles.

Game Two

In the nightcap, it was all Chicago Clout as they bested the
A’s by the score of 10-0 in five innings.

Clout pitchers Jordan Peterson, Seamus McDonagh, and Robert
Gutierrez combined for the five-inning shutout.

The A’s dug themselves into a deep hole as Chicago banged
out six runs on five hits off Max Kramsky in the 1st inning. Four of
those six runs came on one swing of the bat as Clout centerfielder Zach Moberg
hit a grand slam.

After a slew of A’s miscues, Chicago added four runs and led
10-0 after four innings.

The A’s finally collected their first hit in the final
frame, but were unable to push any runs across and the 10-run mercy rule ended the game.

After the spilt, the A’s record now sits at 25-14 overall.

They are back in action on Monday night when they hit the
road to face the Menasha Macs in a crucial Northeastern Wisconsin League game.
Currently the Macs sit atop the NEW standings with an 11-4 record. Sheboygan is
right behind them as their record sits at 10-4.

Northeastern Wisconsin League play continues for the A’s
when they return home on Tuesday to square-off against the Oshkosh Giants.
First pitch scheduled for 7:30 PM at Wildwood Baseball Park.
