A’s players honored by NEW

Seven members of the Sheboygan A’s were recognized by the Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League recently.
Pitcher Ben Stanczyk and infielder Harry Steldt were named to the first team while pitcher Brandon Winfield, infielder Sam Raff and outfielder Drew Pearson made the second team. Earning honorable mention were infielders Chad Langley and Trevor Thiessen.
Stanczyk went 5-2 on the year with a 1.50 ERA and 52 strikeouts in 54 innings for the A’s.
Steldt hit .337 with 13 doubles and 31 RBI to lead Sheboygan offensively.
Winfield had 10 saves, Raff hit .248, Pearson batted .325, Langley hit .259 and Thiessen batted .288.
The Sheboygan A's are members of the Wisconsin State League and Northeastern Wisconsin Baseball League. The A's have helped develop more than 43 players that have reached professional baseball, including 2002 World Series Champion Jarrod Washburn (Anaheim Angels).
