A’s Blank Bobcats, 7-0

KENOSHA – The Sheboygan A’s got outstanding pitching from starter Derek Loomans and three relievers to post a 7-0 Langsdorf League victory over the Kenosha Bobcats Monday night.

Loomans held the ‘cats to just three hits over six innings. Mitch Gardner, Jake Schaefer and Ryan DeRosa each pitched a scoreless inning to preserve the shutout. Only two Bobcats got as far as second base in the game.

The A’s scored three runs in the second inning and were never in danger after that.

Ryan Schilter had three hits to lead sticking. The A’s coaxed 12 walks and a hit batsman out of Kenosha pitchers.

The win put the A’s at 16-12 for the season and 6-4 in the Langsdorf League.

The A’s host the Manitowoc Bandits at Wildwood Park tonight in Red, White and Blue Military Appreciation Night. All veterans and those currently serving in the military will be admitted free of charge. Gametime is 7:30.
