All four runs scored in this game were scored in the first inning and the Sheboygan A's got three of them to take a 3-1 exhibition game victory over the Cedarburg Mercs at Wildwood Park Friday night.
The A's got six of their 11 hits in the first inning to score their three runs. Gabe Marshall's hit drove in two runs and Taylor Schwarz drove in the third with a base hit.
Ryan Schilter picked up three hits for the A's, with Kyle Edlhuber and Jared Fon both getting two.
Jack Archie recorded his second win, going seven strong innings, giving up only three hits and that first inning run. Jack Larsen pitched the final two innings for the save.
Former A John Vanden Berg went 2-for-3 and drove in Cedarburg's only run.
The A's are now 7-0 for the season and were to play a doubleheader at Appleton today with Mitch Arens and Chevy Tollefson scheduled to pitch.
The club is home Tuesday (Oshkosh), Wednesday (Green Bay) and Thursday (DePere on Mark Reinemann Benefit Night) next week.
