WSL / CSL CHALLENGE KICKS OFF THIS WEEKEND

2009-07-10

The third annual Wisconsin State League / Chicago Suburban League challenge kicks off this weekend on Saturday July 11th. The Challenge pits two of the nation's finest semi-pro baseball league against one another for an exciting week-end of baseball.

In the 2007 inaugural challenge, the WSL took the crown winning 19 of 32 games. In 2008, the WSL again repeated as champions, to take a 2-0 challenge record into 2009 against the Chicago Suburban League.

This year's challenge once again includes 32 games between eight CSL teams and eight WSL teams (including the Lombard Orioles and Addison Braves who play in both leagues). The teams have been matched up according to the 2008 league standings. Each game counts towards the league standings for that particular team.

Below is the full WSL/CSL Challenge schedule. Each game is a double header.
